The 3.5 mm cord has a polyester braid and polypropylene core – significantly stronger and more weather-resistant than the 2.5 mm cord. It handles heavier laundry without sagging and withstands year-round outdoor exposure including frost. For lighter indoor use, the 2.5 mm variant is sufficient.
