What is the difference between waxed cotton and TOURIST HYDRO?+
Waxed cotton (ELEGÁN VAX) has a traditional wax surface treatment β€” elegant sheen, firmer texture, for dress footwear. TOURIST HYDRO is polyester with a hydrophobic chemical treatment β€” water runs off, for hiking footwear in wet terrain. Both types have a special surface treatment but are designed for different purposes.
Are TOURIST HYDRO shoelaces fully waterproof?+
TOURIST HYDRO shoelaces are not fully waterproof, but their hydrophobic treatment causes water to run off the surface and they absorb moisture much more slowly than standard polyester shoelaces. Ideal for rain, wet terrain and mud. They are not designed for full submersion in water.
When should I choose round and when flat TOURIST HYDRO?+
Round TOURIST HYDRO (TYPE 33606) is firmer and more durable β€” suitable for high-cut hiking boots and demanding mountain terrain. Flat TOURIST FLAT HYDRO (TYPE 33745) is thinner and more comfortable β€” for low-cut hiking and work footwear.
