Description

Thick polyester shoelaces 140 cm long are ideal for tall footwear where higher strength and reliability are needed. Made from quality polyester renowned for its resistance to abrasion, tearing and moisture. Polyester does not absorb water, so the shoelaces also resist mould and microorganisms well.

Technical specifications

Round cross-section with a larger diameter of 4–5 mm, length 140 cm, cellulose tip finish, material: 100% polyester. The thick diameter gives the shoelaces high tensile strength and a robust appearance; the 140 cm length is suited to tall footwear with 8–10 pairs of eyelets and hooks.

For which footwear is 140 cm ideal?

A length of 140 cm is the standard for tall footwear with 8–10 pairs of eyelets and hooks – typically hiking boots, trekking shoes, work and military footwear. With this footwear, shorter shoelaces (120 cm and less) are not enough for firm lacing from toe to the last hook, or after tying there is not enough material for a reliable bow. 140 cm is at the same time still short enough not to hang down during walking and endanger stability. For extreme high mountaineering footwear, opt for the 160 cm variant.
