Thanks to the durable polyester fibre they offer an ideal combination of strength, flexibility and colourfastness. The flat shape ensures comfortable tying and stable holding throughout the day.

Rectangular (flat) cross-section, length 160 cm, cellulose tip finish, material: 100% polyester. A length of 160 cm is suited to tall footwear with 8 or more pairs of eyelets or hooks – typically high-top sneakers, hiking boots and tactical footwear.

For which footwear is 160 cm ideal?

A length of 160 cm is designed for tall footwear with 8 or more pairs of eyelets or hooks. These include ankle-high sneakers and high-top trainers, hiking boots, work and safety boots, tactical and uniform footwear. With this type of footwear, shorter shoelaces (120–140 cm) are not sufficient to make a firm bow after lacing all eyelets without pulling the shoelaces to its limit. For lower ankle sneakers and work footwear up to mid-calf, a suitable length is 120–140 cm.

Why polyester and not cotton for tall footwear?

With tall footwear, the shoelaces is pulled through a greater number of eyelets and hooks each time it is laced – friction is therefore several times higher than with low sneakers. Polyester has twice the abrasion resistance of cotton and does not absorb water, meaning it retains its shape and colour even in work and outdoor footwear. If you shoelaces tall shoes daily, polyester will last considerably longer than cotton.
